What is DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions)?

What is DNSSEC?

Back to Help

DNSSEC is a verification process and works in a similar way to SSL certificates. The purpose of DNSSEC is to ensure that any computer and server between your own computer and the website you are using, are identified and authorized.

This guarantees that no third party or malware programme intercepts or interferes with any communication between you and the website you are using. Information and data transferred to and from a DNSSEC secured domain name is protected from fraud and phishing.
