What does Local Presence mean?

Back to Help

Some country code domain extensions are restricted and reserved for local registrants. Any individual or company who wants to register a domain under such an extension needs to have a local address or domicile. Registrants who don´t have a local address can use our Local Presence service in order to register their domain. Moreweb has local partners (usually law firms), whose address will be used for the registration.

Where possible, we offer the Local Presence service for free. Only a few come with additional yearly fees, which are added to the domain fees. You will be informed if the domain name you wish to register requires the use of a Local Presence service with costs. Please check the TLD information page to find out if your extension requires Local Presence service.
