What is a Domain Name?

Back to Help

Domain name or domain refers to the full domain name which consists of the term left of the dot and the domain extension right of the dot, for example “moreweb.nz”. Each domain name is unique, as every term can only exist once under each domain extension. For example, “Moreweb” can only exist one time under .COM but it can also exist under .KIWI and .NET. Because of their uniqueness, every domain name has a certain value.
