Register .ORG Domain Name
Almost as old as the internet itself, the .ORG domain extension was initially intended for not-for-profit organisations who didn't meet the commercial restrictions of other domain names. More recently, restrictions have been removed and .ORG websites can now be registered by anyone.
As a nod to its beginnings, the .ORG extension is still widely known around the internet as being used by those organisations with altruistic tendencies. Because of this, the .ORG extension is commonly registered by community groups, sports clubs and charities, as well as open source projects and schools. It is also a popular choice if the .COM extension of a website domain is unavailable.
Since the early 2000s, .ORG domain registration has also spawned individual and internationalised second-level domain names for some countries, including Korea, Germany, Hungary, Iceland and Spain. Either way, if you are looking to start an online business, or want to share your work or thoughts with the world, a .ORG domain extension is a good option.
